My Past

I’m leaving my old life behind, putting
everything on the line for this mission.

Philippians 3:13-14

I know I have not arrived; but there’s one thing I am doing: I’m leaving my old life behind, putting everything on the line for this mission.  I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line, to win the prize, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed.

The Holy Spirit is doing a new thing within my soul. I am intentionally choosing to forget the former things; I will not dwell on my past faults, failures, disappointments and frustrations.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in my body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.

By the grace of God I am what I am; He made me what I am, and His grace wasn't wasted. As I keep my hand on the plow and eyes looking forward, the Holy Spirit will continue maturing me and making me perfectly fit for God's Kingdom.

Today I choose to let go of my past and receive the ministry of reconciliation that God has given me through the Holy Spirit.
