2 Timothy 4
Snippets from 2 Timothy
Paul continues to write his second and last letter approximately 67 A.D to his son in the faith Timothy. He charges Pastor Timothy to guard and fight for the gospel, pursue righteousness, not to forsake sound teaching, and preach the Word of God to the lost. Before Apostle Paul completes his earthly assignment, he equips the leaders and pastors well.
Paul prepares the heart of his friends by finishing his letter with heroic statements, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.”—2 Timothy 4:7-8
