2 Thessalonians 3

Snippets from 2 Thessalonians

Paul opens up his second letter about 52-54 A.D., rejoicing and thanking the Lord for the increasing love and faith of the Thessalonian church. His co-laborers, Silas and Timothy join him in commending the Thessalonian believers for persevering in the truths he taught while he was with them amid the persecution and trials. Paul also reminded them not to be deceived concerning the matters of Jesus' second return. This letter ends with Paul's final instructions regarding work and staying away from idleness at all cost. He lastly requests prayer for him and his companions, so that God's Word would spread rapidly. Brothers and sisters, don't ever grow weary in doing what is right. —2 Thessalonians 3:13
