Rebuilding the Walls

Week 4 Press On Under Cover in the Dark

They said, “We’re with you. Let’s get started.” They rolled up their sleeves, ready for the good work. — Nehemiah 2:18

Nehemiah knew that he had the favorable hand of God with him and his few friends. In spite of his critics, Sanballat and Tobiah, Nehemiah pressed on to inspect undercover the broken walls during the night watches. He didn’t utter a word to anyone while he was on his mission. He persevered until he was ready to reveal his report to his friends who were with him. Nehemiah believed, and God backed him up.

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame. — Romans 10:11

God is saying to you today, “My face has seen your condition. Come, let’s rebuild your walls. You will no longer live in disgrace again. I am supporting you and backing you up.”

“Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. — Isaiah 55:1

From the Scripture above, God is inviting you just to come; that’s it!

It’s time for you to show up so that you can go up. Roll up your sleeves, and get ready for the good work. The haters will be there to mock you and when they reveal themselves shoot back like Nehemiah did saying, “The God-of-Heaven will make sure I succeed. I’m his servant, and I’m going to work, rebuilding. You can keep your nose out of it. You get no say in this—the walls that I am rebuilding are none of your business!”
