The Lord God is my Shepherd, and I shall not want, lack for anything or need a thing. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters, quiet pools to drink from.
My God is true to His word. He restores my soul by letting me catch my breath and sends me in the right direction. Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. My trusty Shepherd’s rod and staff makes me secure and comforted.
He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies. He anoints my head with oil; my cups brims with blessing. Surely goodness and mercy is following me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for the rest of my life.
