Start with the Word First

The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one.
— John 1:1

At any given moment your thoughts are ready to be revealed. They will be revealed from your past hurts and wounds, successes and failures, future objectives and even from the Word of God as you are renewing your mind. We are not aware of what we are thinking about at times until we give our thoughts verbal expression.

When God wanted to reveal His thoughts about us He sent Jesus. Before Jesus ever arrived here on the earth God's thoughts were invisible.

C'mon and flow with me in this moment!

Jesus is the Word of God. It isn't by coincidence that He is the second person in the Godhead. Jesus was with God in the very beginning.... look at the text above, The Word was first, the Word present to God. Look also at the relationship, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God. Wasn't Jesus always in readiness for God as you read of Him in the New Testament? And it didn't start there. The passage above states from day one. From day one Jesus was ready.

If you and I are going to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living we must start with the Word first. We must start with Jesus in the morning, Jesus in our homes, the Word in our marriages, the Word in and on our jobs, the Word in class and in our ministries. If the Word was first from day one, we surely need it for day 7 and for 18290 days which is 2612 weeks and 6 days for me in real time from conception. I got this calculation for my age when I was 50 years young just for fun.

Take an action and start by reading the Word of God often preferably daily so that you can understand the plans and thoughts of God revealed through Jesus who is the Word Himself. Without the Word of God you really don't know your true identity, what you've been called to do, who to marry, why are you here or the paths to take.

Start with the Word of God today and invite the Holy Spirit the third person of the Godhead who Jesus sent personally to you. He will teach you and remind you of all things that Jesus said and the things that God has already said.

Decree It: Today I choose to start with the Word of God. God's plans for me and thoughts towards me are good. He has already planned for me to experience His peace. He is concerned about my well-being. He has plans for me when disaster strikes or I find myself in situations that I can't control. God is for me and not against me. He gives me a future and a hope that I can rely on because He doesn't change. Thank you Father God for your Word. Continue to speak to me in Jesus name. Amen.
