Peace of Mind

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn’t fragile like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
— John 14:27

You can have peace of mind because Jesus left you with this gift for your mind and your heart. The news that we hear in the world can rob us of our peace and leave us paralyzed with fear. The world never produces worthwhile news to feed your faith and starve your doubts. The gospel of Jesus Christ is good news; it is like a breath of fresh air that God blows our way.

I strongly believe that the gifts that Jesus gives us are meant to be received, valued and protected. Personally, I will do whatever it takes to protect my peace of mind and heart. One of the ways that I protect my peace is by entrusting my life and the things that concern me in God's loving hands.

A great way to protect your peace is to start by setting your mind on things above.  Fill your mind with thoughts on whatever is true, honorable, worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, pure and wholesome, lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things.

In other words, center your mind on them, and implant them deep down in your heart. This way you will experience God's peace whenever people, negative words you hear or situations try to rob you of this precious gift.

Decree It: I receive the gift of peace that Jesus left me with. I refuse to fear or worry! I have a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind because I have the peace of God inside of me.
