Just Ask

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
— Matthew 7:7

There's nothing that compares to knowing God's precious thoughts towards you when your times are good or when they are not so good. God has already expressed His invisible thoughts with words. Isn't that what you and I do when we speak to others? We say to them, "I was just thinking of you" and then we share our thoughts with them.

Ask God to speak to you through His Word and the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to share His thoughts about something particularly you are facing or about to face. Inquire of Him about the next move or step you should take. Now listen and respond to what you've heard, as this step will save you time, energy and perhaps money.

Take notice of the peace that you will have and the joy and strength you’ll experience because you started your day with the Word of God first and inquired of Him the things that you are concerned about and not the opinions or suggestions of others.

Even though God speaks through others just as He revealed His plans and thoughts through the mouth of the Prophet Jeremiah, "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope." Let the words of others serve as a confirmation of what you first heard from God's Words.

Decree It: I ask, and it is given unto me in God's timing and according to His plans; I seek the promises of God, and I will find then; I knock, and doors will be opened unto me.
