Stay in the Moment

Don’t brashly announce what you’re going to do tomorrow; you don’t know the first thing about tomorrow.
— Proverbs 27:1

Cherish yesterday and all the lessons you have learned.  Dream about tomorrow and all the good that it holds. But get the most of the moments you will experience today.

I remember years ago how the Holy Spirit revealed to me that it was important to stay in the moment.  In the moment I could make my boast in the Lord who held my past, my present and my future.

Before I became a believer and follower of Christ Jesus I was always bragging about all the things I was going to do tomorrow that never came to pass.  Like the proverbs states above, I didn't know the first thing or have a clue about tomorrow.

Over the years I have learned to enjoy the moments of today as I envision and receive the promises that the Lord has shown me concerning my future. I have also benefitted from the fruit of peace because I have chosen to rest my heart upon those promises.

Today, consider making your boast in the Lord too. And if you are overwhelmed in your life, cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you. Don't worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow has its own issues to deal with.  Stay in the moment and enjoy the presence of the Holy Spirit. Receive all the help and opportunities that He extends to you.

Decree It: My times are in God's hands.  I will make my boast in the Lord who holds my past, present, and future.  I choose not to concern myself about tomorrow, when I get there the Holy Spirit will be there and will never leave me nor forsake me. I receive His help today and the opportunities that are extending to me.
