Who or what are you allowing to keep you together? Is it someone from your past, present, a promotion, the admiration or prestige of others, pressure to please others or the Word of God? This is a question that I have often quietly reflected upon. After reading the passage above, I am assured and comforted that only God who called each of us is completely dependable. God, Himself is our dependable God. We can personally depend on Him and His Word to put us together and keep us whole and well in our spirits, souls and bodies.
God, Himself has clearly demonstrated through Jesus Christ that it was Him who carried our weaknesses; it was our sorrows that weighed Him down. And we thought Jesus' troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for His own sins! But it was our sins that did that to Him, they ripped and tore and crushed Him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through His bruises, we get healed.
Did you catch that? We get healed! If God said that we get healed then we get healed by completely depending on Him. The One who called us healed, holy and whole will heal us and keep us healed. He is Holy so He will make us holy. He is Whole and will make and keep us whole. Are you spiritually, physically or emotionally unwell today? I have good news for you! God, Himself wants to make you holy and whole, put you back together and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who is calling you now to wholeness is near.
Take a step today by agreeing with His Word. Agree with Jesus who is the Word. God cares about your feelings, but what moves Him is your faith in Him. Jesus told us in Mark 11:22 to have faith in God. Today let's do our part to trust and believe the dependable God and let Him do His part to make us whole again.
Decree It: I believe God therefore I speak. My Father God is upholding me through Jesus Christ His Word. His Word is medicine to all of my flesh. I trust Him with all my heart and won’t try to figure out everything on my own. I choose today to completely depend on the Holy Spirit dwelling within me to make me holy, whole and well. For greater is He that is within me than He that is in the world. The Holy Spirit will complete the good work that He has started in me. I am holy, whole and well because God said that I am. And now I fight the good fight of faith and live what I believe.
