It's All Brand New

Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.
— Isaiah 43:19

Our old past lives matter to God. This is why He reminds us often in His Word to forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. God wants us present and alert so that when He shows up with our brand new thing in our desert places we will see Him.

I get that sometimes it is not so easy to stay focused when you are going through hard times. Those hard time are real and I like the Holy Spirit would never ask that you would dismiss what you are going through or have gone through. Our appeal today would be, “Redirect your focus even in the midst of those past and current obstacles.”

The Holy Spirit wants to give you something brand new and He also wants you to start getting excited about it and raise up your level of expectation. Imagine and dream with me for just a moment, close your eyes, put a smile on your face even if it is by faith.

Are you eyes closed and a smile on your face? Well I know they are not quite closed as of yet because you are trying to finish reading today’s devotional.

Humor…

When you have a moment, close your eyes, put a smile on your face, and let your spirit take you to what is about to happen for you—the manifestation to all that you have been praying about. I believe that your feet are now on that path of His promises that you have read about and declared.

Be encouraged today and take heed to the revelation knowledge that Paul received and worked out for himself as he had to press pass his past, “I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.”

He got it right! You and I can follow in Paul’s footsteps and get it right too. To have one compelling focus: together let us forget about all off the past as we fasten our hearts to our futures instead. Stay present, your future is bigger than your past.

Decree It: Today I choose to forget about what has happened to me in the past and I fasten my heart to my future instead. Thank you Holy Spirit for the brand new thing that you are about to manifest for me.
