Think to Yourself

For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.
— Mark 5:28

By Nina Roach

You may not have noticed but, I used this same scripture from a previous Devo.  What I liked about the New Living Translation version above is that the woman with the issue of blood thought to herself.

Some of the other versions state that she kept saying or said to herself. The point I want to make to you today is that your thoughts are just as powerful as your words. I could just imagine this woman being a visionary for twelve long years and having a perfect picture in her imagination of what she wanted for her life. She wanted her body to function the way God created it to function, healed and whole and complete restoration for all that was lost.

Back then they probably did not have vision boards, or maybe she engraved her thoughts on scrolls or some sort of ancient rock.  No matter what means she used to remind herself of Jesus being her Healer, she was so convinced that she said what was in her heart over and over again and also applied an action to her faith by touching Jesus' robe that the Holy Spirit showed her.

Her thoughts were great and so was her timing!

She thought about the truth, said the truth and acted upon the truth.  I challenge you today that whatever you want that God has willed or desired to give you, imagine it throughout the day, confess it, believe it in your spirit and put some action to your faith to receive it.

Decree It: Today, I fix my thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. I think about things that are excellent that I desire and thoughts that are worthy of praise.  Holy Spirit help me and show me my strategy from God's word to apply by faith.
