Take Your Stand

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
— 1 Corinthians 16:13

Attacked lately?

Have you ever noticed that when you have decided to take your stand in the faith and rely on God it seems that hell's cells have been unlocked to wage a war against you?

I want you to know that you're not alone in this. As believers we all have felt the opposition of the enemy trying to take us off guard and cause us to lose courage in our convictions and reliance on God's Word.

Though your adversaries have attempted to vex your soul, I want to encourage and remind you today to, "Take your stand!" You are closer to experiencing the promises of God and living some of your best days ever and you better believe that Satan knows this truth. According to John 10:10 we know that his chief purpose for coming is to steal, and kill and destroy.

It gets better...

In the last sentence of John 10:10, the main purpose of Jesus' arrival was to give you and I a rich and satisfying life. Jesus didn't take a neutral stand on His position, nor was He moved by the corrupt culture of His time. He stood for all that God had purposed for His life. Every stance that Christ took impacted the lives of others and brought glory to God.

Today, you can take your stand like Jesus did. How did He do it? He used God's Word for smashing warped philosophies, and tore down walls and barriers that were erected against the truth of God. Jesus stood. And so can you!

Decree It:  Today I will guard my heart with all diligence; stand firm in the faith; be courageous, and strong.
