Safe and Saved

I sing to God, the Praise-Lofty,
and find myself safe and saved.
— Psalm 18:3

By Nina Roach

God makes us strong and it is through His strength we are able to overcome anything that we face. When we run to Him during the attacks and trials in our lives we will find ourselves safe and saved.

Recently I had been faced with various trials in my personal life. And it hadn't been easy to count it all joy. I was counting all the ways that I could escape these trials as opposed to counting all the ways that God had been right there with me as patience was having her perfect work within me.

I was driving to work not to long ago and heard a song that I hadn't heard in a while that reminded me of "that" place of worship and as I listened and hung on to every word of the psalmist, I was so compelled to enter into that place where my trials seemed obsolete and found myself once again safe and saved.

And today, whatever you may be experiencing I believe that as you cry out to God for help, your cry will bring you right into His presence. Take a look at Psalm 18:20-24 from The Message and take note of the outcome of David's soul after He cried out for help... "God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before Him. When I got my act together, He gave me a fresh start. Now I’m alert to God’s ways; I don’t take God for granted. Every day I review the ways He works; I try not to miss what He’s doing. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my steps. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to His eyes."

Decree It: God is! He alone makes my life complete. I place all the pieces of my life before Him. My times and seasons are in His hands. I sing to my God, and once again find myself safe and saved.
