Make a Place for Jesus

She gave birth to her firstborn child, a son, wrapped him snugly, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the guestroom.

You can experience Christmas daily. No need to delay singing Christmas carols, your long-awaited King has come. King Jesus has restored unto you the Kingdom and you got the presence, power and provision of God back.

Sing, Joy to the World our Lord has Come, and He is coming back too. Will you be  ready to receive the King again? The night of Mary's delivery to give birth to our Savior there was no room in the inn. She was prepared to deliver the world's Deliverer who would take away our sins forever.

She relocated her destination and gave birth to Jesus in a manger. A manger is a long open box or trough for horses or cattle to eat from. The King of kings was born in a manger.

Now that's a glimpse of what humility looks like. There were no other kings nearby, neither were there any prince or princesses, just three wise men en route bearing gifts. Just imagine not even a welcome mat for heaven's royal One. Jesus was wrapped in His swaddling clothes, and He was contained with all that we would ever need to live victoriously in the earth as kingdom citizens.

Personally, I am thrilled that He arrived and wouldn't want to miss out on any of the details about His life. I desire to know all the reasons why He arrived, so I can continue to make room in my heart for Him as I am anticipating His second return. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners by calling each of us to repentance.

He also came to seek and save the lost and bear witness to the truth. Jesus never came to do His will, but rather to do the will of His Father by proclaiming the good news about the Kingdom of God. As believers, we are to continue His mission by letting others know that they can have hope, peace, joy and receive the love of God without any toiling for it.

In  order to be successful in our endeavors, we must make every effort to prepare our hearts daily. We must make room for Jesus. Allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus and fill our hearts with His love is necessary, and it takes an act of our wills. When we understand who Jesus is and His mission, we also understand who we are and our mission.

As we finish our year strong, let's continue to rid ourselves of falsehood, busyness, doubt and unbelief, selfishness and sorrow as those characteristics are behind us. And let's take hold of our hope in Jesus that doesn't disappoint, His peace within us that surpasses our understanding and His agape love that loves unconditionally. Daily let's roll out the welcome mat for Jesus as we prepare room in our hearts to sit and soak in the presence of our soon returning King.

Decree It: Jesus I will make room for you in my heart and wait for You. Holy Spirit continue to draw me to Your presence as You reveal Jesus to me. When I know who my Savior is, I will know who I am. I am a new creation in Christ and just as Jesus is, so am I.
