You aren't just in any race; you are in a race to win all that is before you by faith. Your race isn't in vain, and your rewards have an eternal value that will never fade or tarnish.
Jesus has passed on to you the baton of His glory the moment that you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. You also have been given by Him clear-cut instructions that the Holy Spirit reminds you of while you are running off to obtain all that He died for.
Just think about this for a moment, because Jesus gave you His baton of glory, you are starting out as a winner from the starting line. He has overcome everything that you will ever face in your race during your lifetime.
Jesus has overcome sin, every temptation, the world and the devil himself. As we finish this year strong together, give everything you have or give Jesus what you have. In His hands and care, it all counts for something. He will help you and strengthen you to finish well.
Now isn't the time to allow feelings of guilt or condemnation about all that you didn't accomplish to consume you. In Jesus' name come from under that burden of shame! There is still time; you aren't in a sprint, this race is a journey that you've been invited to. Stop competing against others too, stay peacefully in your lane. Trust me it gives you a smooth glide. I am here to speak comfort and encouragement to your heart as I have been encouraged too by the Lord.
Let's stay alert and continue running. Don't be pressured by time, dates and months. Keep going! This is not the time to look back, cave in and quit, nor live sloppily or be caught napping. This is a race not for the swift but for the faithful that you were born again into. And even though you may need to start all over at the starting line daily, the Holy Spirit is right there with you.
You can run to win today with a "finisher's heart." Jesus finished His race well and in Him, you can too. He believes in you, and so do I. Remember in order to win the contest you must deny yourself many things that would keep you from doing your best.
Decree It: Through Jesus, I can do all things as He gives me His strength. I am a winner! I will allow the Word of God to train my recreated spirit, my mind, will and emotions, and my body these are the spiritual disciplines of life. I will give it all that I have to offer, and anything that is missing the Holy Spirit is right there to help me win. I refuse to share the good news about Jesus to others and in turn, miss out on all His goodness that He offers me today. I am a world overcomer. Thank you, Jesus, for causing me to triumph.
