Sin, unbelief, fear, ignorance of God's Word and prayerlessness are a just a few reasons why believers aren't walking in the power and authority they have in Christ Jesus. The more that we understand and exercise our rights that we have been given in Christ Jesus, the more we will see results.
Sin keeps us under Satan's control until we come to our sober minds, acknowledge our sin and repent. Jesus walked the earth and accomplished God's will without sin, so the devil could never get a foothold that would later become a stronghold in His life.
In John 14:30 Jesus said, "The ruler of this world is coming, and has nothing in Me." Sin is no longer our issue because Jesus is our remedy for sin. Repent today! Unbelief is one of the greatest enemies to the life of a Believer and is a serious sin that impacts our faith.
Paul tells us in Romans 14:23, "But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin." In the book of Hebrews the writer also states that a sinful, unbelieving heart turns us away from the living God.
Even Jesus could not perform any miracles among the people of His time because of their lack of faith in Him. We must believe as Believers! God has not given us a spirit of fear. Fear comes to paralyze us from walking in power and authority over the devil. Believers are led by the Spirit of God and not the Spirit of fear.
No matter what God has called you to do, or let go of, just do it even if you have to do it afraid with your knees knocking and all. God is not pleased when we allow fear to rule our hearts. In Hosea 4:6, God declares: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." We are not powerless against the enemy when we walk in our authority in Christ Jesus.
It is time to know what God has said about your situation and exercise the authority you have. And lastly, you must understand how important it is to have an active prayer life. James 5:16 declares, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." This verse points out that authority is given to the righteous.
Our prayers avail much as we make ourselves available to pray. We must never give up or look at prayer as our last resort. We are to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests and be alert and always keep on praying for the Body of Christ.
Today, ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and deal with those enemies that are holding you back. In order to "Walk in Power and Authority" we must confront sin, unbelief, fear, ignorance of God's Word and pray like never before.
Decree It: I walk by faith and not by my senses. Jesus has given me His authority to overcome anything that I will face in this world. I am a world overcomer and sin, unbelief, fear, ignorance of God's Word and prayerlessness have no place in me.
