There are people who will continue doing the same things year after year.
And why is that?
It's not because of some omen following them as many folks would like to think including believers. They like to blame everything on the enemy as oppose to accessing the authority given to them by Christ and taking responsibility for the things in their lives God's way. Yes the enemy is real and does exist but the last time I read in scripture, Jesus had overcome him and destroyed all of his power according to Colossians 2:13-15.
The Lord is our refuge and strength. He is our well-proven help in trouble. This is why we must shift so that we can move on from "there."
The mindsets of "there" which are rejection, fear, abandonment, defeat, poverty, lack and playing the victim. Nothing will ever change physically until we spiritually renew our minds. Everything starts spiritually not naturally. When I am re-evaluating my life I first consider what have I been thinking about and meditating upon over and over again in my mind. Because I know that is where the root of my issues are.
There is hope for you and me because God's Word can change our circumstances if we apply His Word. And many are defeated because they are just overwhelmed with how to get started and looking at how long they have been stuck where they are as opposed to seeing themselves on the other side as an overcomer.
Start this week with new thoughts that will take you to new places and make it a point to meet new people throughout the year. You can make a life shift by starting with one God thought. Thinking like God puts you on a much higher realm. Those who think they can do things on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life.
Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them—living and breathing God! Obsession with self in these matters is a dead end; attention to God leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. Focusing on self is the opposite of focusing on God. Anyone completely absorbed in self ignores God, ends up thinking more about self than God. That person ignores who God is and what He is doing. And God isn’t pleased at being ignored according to The Message Bible in Romans 8:6.
Your days, weeks and months ahead will be amazing as you move on from "there" spiritually with your new spiritual mind that inhabits God's thoughts. Don't get stuck in time, seasons and days, get stuck on God and His Word.
Decree It: I move on with God's thoughts. God says I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away that kept me bound and stuck and I receive the new things that are here today that God offers me from His Word.
