Believers have inherited everything that Christ has possessed. We don't lack anything in Him. What a great passage today to remind us of our early days of salvation. We were so secure in the message that we first heard of Christ and responded to Him without hesitation. No matter what others did we were there for them. No matter what we faced we stuck with it to the end. We didn't allow ourselves to be easily moved by our circumstances. We were sure of ourselves. Sure that God would make good on His promises.
Does this sound familiar to you?
It does to me. What happened? You and I can give all sorts of reasons for throwing away our confidence. But today is all we have and we can simply go back to God's perfect plan for our lives, it's still a sure thing, let's go back together.
Stop! Pray this prayer with me... Father in the name of Jesus, I acknowledge that I have allowed the hard times that I have faced to remove me from what I know to be true about you and your ways. Today I choose to start over again with your perfect plan. Forgive me for not trusting you to see your promises fulfilled in my life and in the lives of those I care about. Help me Holy Spirit to recover my confidence, so that I can move on and stay the course.
Jesus as our High Priest is praying for us too that our faith in God doesn't fail us. For just a moment imagine with me what His prayers would be for us. Oh, He's praying powerful prayers, listen in... If you have a journal write what you are sensing or hearing in this moment by the Holy Spirit as He reveals the prayers of Jesus to you.
Decree It: I am not a doubter or a quitter. The Lord is my Shepherd and I don't lack anything. All that Jesus has, I have now in my possession and it is noticeable. I trust in the Lord all the today and recover my confidence. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
