As For You Follow Me

Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow me.

The way to make it in your personal life is to follow Jesus. Follow Him in your marriage, let Him lead you in your spending habits, your attitudes or your next conversation with your boss or family member.

Jesus mentioned  this statement above when Peter was questioning Him about the "other" disciple John. Peter was a busybody disciple, he was always concerned about what others were doing as opposed to doing what Jesus was telling him to do. At that moment Jesus checked Peter by putting him in his place.

Let's look into the full conversation of Peter talking about John. Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them. He was the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper to ask, “Lord, who is going to betray You?” When Peter saw him, he asked, “Lord, what about him?” Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain until I return, what is that to you? You follow Me!”

The word for us today is to follow Jesus and He will decide what happens to others. Make a decision today that no matter what others are doing you will focus only to do your part.

Decree It: Today I decide to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling by following Jesus. I will keep my eyes upon the Word. Jesus will take care of those that I care about and my loved ones. I believe this and therefore I decree!
