Staying with God's plan is the way to go no matter what trials you and I face. Do you remember the moment that you got saved, what about the times that were extremely hard without the intervention of the Holy Spirit? I surely do.
Before I realized just how broken I was and my need for salvation, my life was in such disarray. In fact, my life was in really bad shape with so much hurt, anger, and disappointment.
I saw the light and some days it appeared as though I was just an open target for the enemy as he used others to attack me. But I discovered my arsenal, a secret treasure that was deep within me the “Word of God" that I had grown to love. It had stuck with me and no one could touch it. No one could set me back by their words and attitudes. I refused to give up on the good work that the Holy Spirit started within me.
You can make a choice today not to throw away your confidence in the good work that the Holy Spirit has begun in you. God's plan for you is still a sure thing. God desires that we stay with His plan so that we'll be there for the promised completion. We never know when the Spirit of God will manifest the promises we prayed about. But by faith, we received them when we prayed.
Since God didn't create quitters who lose out in the end, let's stay with God's plan and not only survive but thrive. Let's continue to trust the Holy Spirit within us all the way. Remember that whatever your enemies try to bring your way through their words and actions, they can't touch the real treasure that is within you.
If you are going to give up on something, a great place to begin is to surrender your will and plans in exchange for God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Jesus often prayed to the Father, "Not my will but your will be done." He knew that His livelihood and ministry was only found in the One who sent Him to accomplish His will. And the same can be for you today.
Decree It: My God I remember when I first saw the light and you called me to be yours in Christ Jesus. You have chosen to make known to me what is the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Jesus Christ in me who is the hope and glory that lives within me. Through Christ, I can do all things concerning your plans and purposes for my life. Your grace God is sufficient for me, for your power is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
