You're Wealthy When You're Healthy

Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.
— Proverbs 21:5

Most folks believe in our culture today that when you have a lot of loot then you are wealthy.  I disagree as this is only my opinion...

I believe that when we are healthy we are wealthy.  I say this because you can have all the plaques on your walls from your accomplishments, the most amazing financial profile that would surpass others, solid family and friendship ties and your picture in the official news of Harvard's Gazette, but without your health, it is all meaningless.

On some Wednesdays, I enjoy discussing on my Shift Today broadcast about our health and how important it is. Our bodies are where the Holy Spirit dwells and we are not our own, even though we act as if we are. The Spirit of God made us, and the breath of the Almighty has given us life. How can we ever enjoy the fruit of our accomplishments if we are not healthy

One of the attributes that I know about successful people no matter what they do is that they carefully plan their way. Their plans put them ahead in the long run; they are not hurrying and scurrying around waiting at the last minute, as they are aware that those characteristics only put them further behind. For the most part, they sync their decisions about their activities with their calendars including their physical health, spiritual and emotional well-being. Having a healthy lifestyle is an important choice that only you can make.

It is never too late to start carefully planning to get healthy. What are a few tips to carefully plan your health that is your wealth? As an act of surrendering your will start by asking the Holy Spirit to help you. Grab a calendar that you see often, personally, I like to use my calendars on my mobile devices.

For your physical health, it is important to sleep at least 6-8 hours with your windows open or cracked for fresh air. As you arise in the morning, thank God for your body and the health and strength you currently have.  You also need a healthy diet with lots of natural fruit, protein, water, and whole grains. Use your zygomaticus!

You may be thinking what the heck is my zygomaticus? It is a major muscle of your human body. It is the muscle of your facial expression which allows you to smile. Lastly, start moving by choosing any of these exercises, walking, cycling, swimming, skating, yoga, hiking, weight lifting, running, zumba, yoga, tai chi or any of your own.

For your spiritual and emotional health meditate upon a few scriptures daily like Psalm 139 about how you are fearfully and wonderfully made or Jeremiah 1:5 and 1 Corinthians 6:19. Also, go seeking and inquire of the Holy Spirit for scriptures your well-being.

Decree It: Thank you, Father God, for creating my body. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me His strength. I am a world overcomer. I plan my way today so that I can have a better health tomorrow.
