Time for Lasting Change

I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above the earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
— Isaiah 55:8-9

When you allow the Holy Spirit to change the way that you think, you will know what to do. Too many times we are focused on the doing part and not focusing on renewing our minds so that we can believe right and experience lasting changes.

Just think of all the fads and trends in the earth. A few of the fads that I have personally experienced like many others are dieting and money fads.

You have heard the pitches...

Try this way of eating for portion control from; “Choose My Plate” for so many days and you will lose inches here and there.  Or workout with this new program and you are guaranteed to lose weight in your arms without getting bulky. Spend, save and invest your money this or that way and by the time you are whatever age they suggest, you would have accumulated that amount of money.

These offers can be great resources after you have gotten your mindset renewed and with the right motivations. Until you and I take hold of God's word and receive His power that He provides to overcome our habits, we will never be the overcomers that He said we already are.

Lasting changes are made when we renew our minds and forget about our past ways of operation.  What makes God's ways so much better than our ways is that His thoughts are much higher than ours. I really see why it is necessary to think like God, so we can begin to act like God. Remember that every action you take whether it is good, bad or indifferent comes from your thoughts.

What lasting changes do you want to make today? Think about them before you do something about them.

Decree It:  I choose to think like God thinks to make lasting changes. God's word is my sure foundation for life. My God even now by the Holy Spirit is causing my thoughts to become agreeable to His word.  I embrace what God is thinking about me now. His thoughts are good.
