Since God's thoughts transcend our thoughts, we might as well be intentional and set our minds to think higher. The way God works and how He thinks about things concerning us is on a much higher frequency.
In Isaiah 6:1, the Prophet Isaiah stated that in the year of King Uzziah’s death, that he saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and honored. His long clothing spread out and filled the house of God. Only the Holy Spirit could have caused Isaiah to see the Lord's position of honor. He saw Jesus high and lifted up. This is why we must see higher with our faith eyes so that we can think higher. When we think higher and take our position seated with Christ Jesus in the heavenly realms we are united Him.
If Jesus is far above all principality, power, virtue, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come we are too, Hallelujah! Just like the devotional that I recently wrote about speaking with your native godlike tongue is your true self, so are your thoughts when you think higher. They too are reflecting God's nature.
Remember God thought about His creation first, then He spoke what He wanted and so it was. So today be a good gatekeeper over your thoughts as they will eventually become the very thing that you think about consistently and will later speak. When you think higher by meditating on God's Word your ways and responses will be higher too.
Decree It: I am a new creation in Christ Jesus and therefore I have His mind, thoughts, and purposes in my heart. I set my mind today on things high above and not on things below.
