Have you ever thought about the importance of being single-minded and keeping your eye on the goal? To be single-minded you must prioritize and concentrate on one thought at a time to obtain your desired results.
I have personally discovered that when I am single-minded on completing my goals at hand, I have had to aggressively protect my thoughts from the next "BIG IDEA" that tries to enter my mind.
Jesus, Apostle Paul, and many others in the Bible were human just like us and they obtained tangible results by concentrating on the task at hand and God used each of them mightily to transform the lives around them.
At times I think about what would have happened if Christ veered off from His purpose and got caught up in other secondary activities. Miracles would be been delayed; lives would not have been transformed; disciples may have been unskilled and missed teachable moments to proclaim the gospel effectively, and even the dead may have never experienced His resurrection power.
No matter what you are attempting to set out to accomplish this year or finish today, keep your eyes on the goal to where God is beckoning you onward.
Decree It: I have a spirit of power, love, and sound judgment that results in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control. I choose to keep my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning me onward—to Jesus.
