Community Engagement Coordinator

Connecting and engaging the community of Shift Today Ministries to God, one another, and life changing resources.


Shift Today Ministries is a diverse, contemporary Christian community that exists so that people near and far from God shift their hearts and minds to God’s transforming power, presence, and love in worship, the Word, and community.


Our mission at Shift Today is to continue the mission of Jesus Christ through every STEP that we take. We SEEK and save the lost, TEACH and EQUIP believers how to live and lead victorious lives by the placing their faith in God through the PROCLAMATION of the GOSPEL. 

The Community Engagement Coordinator’s responsibility is to assist connecting and engaging the community of Shift Today. This starts by being one of the primary point of contacts for our weekly Worship Experiences on Sundays and Wednesday and continues throughout the week in their home offices, by email, and online through social media. A big part of the Community Engagement Coordinator’s job is helping new visitor connect at Shift Today as well as assist in connecting and engaging our leaders, staff, and volunteers to the Shift Today culture in creative fun ways as well as our partners by managing internal communication and calendars. This position is also responsible for overseeing a multitude of office administration tasks.


  • Works closely with the lead pastor, ministry leadership, staff, volunteers, partners, and visitors

  • Act as a liaison between ministries to ensure action items are being complete and effective

  • Create and send emails or texts including bi-weekly updates, event invitations, reminder emails, and follow-ups

  • Assist coordinating and connecting new visitors to the culture of the ministry, trainings, and life groups

  • Assist with connecting ministry leadership and volunteers with iServe opportunities and making them feel welcome

  • Assist with table and room set ups for special events, ongoing trainings, and meetings

  • Assist with coordinating, planning and set-up/break down for special events

  • Assist with marketing within the ministry

  • Assist with ordering products and scheduling reservations for special events, trainings, and meetings

  • Travel to make pick-up for events when needed

  • Perform other assignments when needed


  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff, members, external partners, donors and volunteers

  • Ability to work independently or as a team player

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Able to manage social media accounts and assist keeping the ministry website updated

  • Ability to learn the use of new technology through self-direction using online tools

  • Positive, upbeat and able to multitask in a fluidly changing work environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills and time management

  • Ability to prioritize assignments


    High school diploma, some college preferred

    Job Type: Part-time




    Part-time weekdays and weekends with flexible hours. Schedule posted weekly.
